We’ve become an official partner of SMSEagle – a Polish manufacturer of hardware SMS/MMS gateways for professional use. Specifically, we are now a Silver Partner for the Czech Republic. Great news for customers who need a reliable notification channel that doesn’t depend on the cloud.
What is SMSEagle
SMSEagle is a hardware device – a dedicated SMS/MMS gateway that can send and receive SMS, MMS, and on top of that voice calls, all directly from your local network without depending on third-party cloud services. Put it in your server room or simply wherever you need it, insert a SIM card, and you have your own gateway for delivering notifications. The devices are built by a seasoned, time-tested Polish team that puts real care and craftsmanship into every unit – it’s not anonymous mass production, it’s honest hardware work. SMSEagle is also Made in EU, but support and operation are worldwide – no matter where you are based, you get the same team, certifications, and service behind you.
SMSEagle is used for notifications by customers like Alza, Allwyn (formerly Sazka), and many others among our clients – from retail giants to lottery operators. Wherever an SMS simply must not be dropped, owning the hardware makes sense.
Typical use cases:
- Alerting from monitoring systems – direct integration with Zabbix, Nagios, PRTG, and others
- Two-factor authentication (2FA) – sending verification codes via SMS
- Notifications and bulk SMS – automated messages to employees, customers, or patients
- IoT and M2M communication – reliable SMS for industrial systems
- Voice Calls – SMSEagle can not only send SMS but also place a phone call and read the message out via Text-To-Speech. Perfect for critical alerts where you don’t want a message to get lost among other SMS. TTS speech intelligibility across different languages is impressively strong and works well in international environments
What else SMSEagle can do
- Backup LTE modem – if your internet connection drops, the device can also act as an LTE modem and keep your network online
- High Availability – multi-modem models can run in internal HA mode, or you can build a full HA cluster starting with just two devices, all with straightforward configuration
- Email-to-SMS – a popular feature for systems that can only send email – SMSEagle automatically converts the email into an SMS
- API and webhooks – easy integration of other systems via REST API or webhooks, so you can wire SMSEagle to pretty much anything
Want to try the device hands-on, no strings attached? We have a form below – fill in a few basic details and we’ll send you the login credentials to a live SMSEagle demo instance straight away. No sales call, no waiting, just log in and play with it.
Why a hardware SMS gateway
As specialists in monitoring and infrastructure, we know how important it is to have a reliable, independent channel for delivering critical notifications. Cloud SMS services can fail at exactly the moment you need them most – when the internet connection drops or your SMS provider has an outage.
SMSEagle solves this elegantly: the device sits directly in your network, talks to the mobile network, and keeps working even during a full internet outage. That’s the difference between “monitoring sent us a text” and “monitoring should have sent us a text, but the SMS provider was down”.
After the recent provider outages, interest in these devices has noticeably grown – for companies that need notifications provably delivered independently of the cloud, the combination simply makes sense. The same goes for customers dealing with GDPR and NIS2 requirements – the SMS leaves directly from your network, with no data flowing through a third-party service.
SMSEagle models
SMSEagle offers three product lines that cover everything from simple alerting to enterprise deployments with high traffic:

Single Modem – NXS-9700
Entry-level series with a single modem (4G or 5G). Perfect for critical alerts, small to medium deployments, or retail. Compact, no moving parts, designed for 24/7 operation.
Official price: €989 / $1,186.80 (4G) or €1,489 / $1,786.80 (5G), excl. VAT. Through us up to 20% discount on request.

Dual Modem – NXS-9750-4G (our pick)
Two independent modems in one device. Higher throughput, redundancy across two carriers, ideal for deployments where SIM or network outages cannot be tolerated. If one SIM has an issue, the device automatically switches over to the other one – no admin intervention needed.
Official price: €1,189 / $1,426.80 excl. VAT. Through us up to 20% discount on request.

Eight Modem PRO – MHD-8100-4G
Enterprise series with eight modems in a 1U rack. For high traffic, telco deployments, mass campaigns, or failover across multiple carriers.
Official price: €2,693.90 / $3,232.68 excl. VAT. Through us up to 20% discount on request.
The cherry on top – accessories
On top of the device itself, you can add a range of optional extras that turn SMSEagle into a complete solution tailored to your needs. A few things worth mentioning:
- Voice (Calls) feature – a license add-on that enables voice calls with Text-To-Speech (see above)
- Environmental sensors – temperature sensor, water leak detector, or motion detector. Combined with Zabbix or Wazuh, your SMSEagle becomes an environmental monitor for your rack or server room at the same time
- Antennas – from a standard 4G antenna through an external 10m antenna for weak signal locations to a 5G/4G/3G 4-in-1 antenna for maximum compatibility
- Digital I/O Extender – for triggering SMS based on external inputs (alarms, contacts) or activating external devices upon receiving an SMS
- Rack mount, SIM tray, power adapters – small things appreciated by everyone who actually deploys the device into a real environment where everything has its place

Sneak peek: Zabbix acknowledgement via SMS
SMSEagle is currently working on a feature we’re particularly excited about: two-way Zabbix acknowledgement via SMS. In practice this means that when Zabbix sends you an alert via SMS, you can simply reply ACK or NOACK and Zabbix will automatically update the problem – no need to log into the GUI from your phone at 1 AM. We’re collaborating directly with SMSEagle on this feature, so if it sounds interesting, don’t hesitate to reach out – we’ll be happy to show you how it’s going to work.
